Kolm offers subscriptions tailored for growing agencies, marketing teams, and scale-ups, providing access to a range of design and development services along with a dedicated project manager for a fixed monthly fee. Our subscription plans include unlimited design, social media, and website management. We also offer comprehensive website packages.

With Kolm, you can rapidly scale your design and development operations without the complications of traditional employment processes (such as recruiting, HR, administration, and talent development) or the unpredictability of hiring individual freelancers from marketplaces.

Where are you located?

Kolm was founded in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Our current headquarters are situated in Eindhoven, known as the Silicon Valley of the Netherlands.

Why wouldn't I just hire a full-time designer?

Good question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level digital designer and developer now exceeds $150,000, plus benefits (and good luck finding one available). Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you're stuck paying for time you aren't able to utilize.

Our subscription model offers flexibility without the obligation of long-term contracts. It operates on a monthly basis, allowing you to pause or cancel anytime. This reduces risk for businesses, providing the freedom to adapt to changing needs without being tied down by lengthy commitments.

What happens after I subscribe to a plan?

After subscribing to a plan, you will receive a unique login that grants you access to your personal portal. This portal allows you to manage your requests and directly communicate with your designer regarding your account.

We will guide you through the onboarding process to ensure you fully understand how to use your portal, manage design requests, and track their progress.

Can I try out the service before subscribing?

We offer a demo video that showcases how our service works. Simply fill out the form and select "Free Demo" as the topic to receive the video. Additionally, you can book a call with us to have a sales representative answer any questions you may have.

Website Packages

What is not include in the website packages?

Please be aware that our website packages do not include website hosting and any additional software & plugins required for your website. These services incur extra costs, which can range from €100 to €300, depending on your specific website needs. These costs are the responsibility of your business. However we can do the setup of those software or plugins into your website.

As an agency, we focus on providing branding, logo design, and website development. For a detailed breakdown of what is included in each package, please refer to the specifications listed on our website packages.

What happens after I purchase a package?

After purchasing one of our website packages, you will receive a unique login that grants you access to your personal portal. This portal allows you to manage your requests and access Slack communications related to your account.

Do I need technical expertise to maintain and update my website after it's launched?

No, you don't need technical expertise to maintain your website. We provide user-friendly content management systems (CMS) that allow you to easily update content, images, and other elements without any coding knowledge.  However, we strongly advise learning the basics of WordPress. Additionally, as part of our offboarding process, we conduct a virtual call to explain how the website works, ensuring you feel confident using it independently. If you prefer to avoid technical aspects altogether, we also offer website management subscriptions.

Are there any ongoing fees or hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs associated with our website package. The pricing is transparent, and any additional features or services beyond the package scope will be discussed and agreed upon upfront.

Kindly be aware that hosting fees and additional software costs, such as Elementor Pro, are not included and will incur extra charges, typically ranging from 100 to 300 euros.

Do you integrate third-party services or tools into websites?

Absolutely. Depending on the website package, we seamlessly integrate third-party services or tools into your website. Whether it's e-commerce functionality, payment gateways, or analytics platforms, we ensure smooth integration to enhance your website's performance and functionality.

How fast will I receive my website?

The timeline for building and launching your website depends on the complexity of the project and your responsiveness to feedback. Typically, we aim to complete the process within 4-8 weeks from the start date.

Is website hosting included in the package, or do I need to arrange it separately?

Website hosting is not included in the package, but we can assist you in selecting a reliable hosting provider and setting up your hosting environment to ensure optimal performance for your website.

How do you maintain communication and collaboration during website development?

Through our portal, you have direct communication with our designers and developers. At Kolm, we methodically break down the web design and development process into clear phases. We actively involve our clients at each step, enabling constant feedback and adjustments to ensure your vision is perfectly realized in the final product.

What if I don't like the design?

No worries! We'll continue to revise the design until you're 100% satisfied. 

What level of support and assistance can I expect during and after the website development process?

Our team remains available to address your inquiries, concerns, and provide ongoing maintenance and technical support as needed. Our primary communication channels are mostly through our portal.

Does the website package come with a warranty?

Yes, we offer a 6-month warranty that covers any issues or defects encountered in your website within the specified period, excluding design additions or visuals. If any issues arise, we'll promptly address and resolve them at no extra cost to you.

Communication & collaboration

What is the level of communication and collaboration?

Our primary communication channel is through our portal, where you have direct, real-time communication with our designers via Slack. This allows for quick exchanges, instant feedback, and efficient collaboration throughout the project. Additionally, for more complex explanations or detailed discussions, we recommend utilizing Loom videos. These videos enable clear communication, ensuring that both designers and clients are on the same page regarding project requirements and goals.

Within our portal, you'll find a clear overview of your projects. You can track the progress of your requests, view regular updates, and monitor milestones. This transparency ensures that you're always informed about the status of your projects and can provide input or feedback as needed.

Which platform do you use to manage requests & projects

At Kolm, we utilize Trello to manage all project requests and provide you with updates.

Upon signing up with Kolm, you will receive a unique login, granting you access to our Kolm portal. Within the portal, you will find a task board for efficient project management. Trello is free to use, though it requires an account. If your organization already uses Trello, you can seamlessly switch between our workspace and yours by clicking on your profile image in the top right corner and selecting the desired workspace from the dropdown menu.

How do I approve each request and provide feedback?

To approve a task, move the card to the 'Approved' list on the Trello board. It’s that easy!

For feedback and sharing additional ideas, we recommend using screen-recording videos and image annotations instead of simple text messages. You can use a free tool called Loom for screen recordings. Additionally, you have access to your project manager via Slack for direct communication. However, for efficiency and clarity, we suggest adding feedback directly on the specific request card in Trello. This ensures that all communication and information for a specific request are consolidated and not lost, minimizing the time you spend on briefing and feedback while making it significantly easier for us to understand your thought process.

What do you mean by 'Requests'?

A request can be anything you need us to handle, whether it's a small technical task or a larger project such as a redesign of a landing page.

How does your pricing work?

Imagine hiring a full-time web developer or designer with a monthly salary. As long as this person works for you, you can delegate all your tasks and projects to them. They will handle your requests one at a time. You decide which tasks to delegate. Some tasks may be completed in 15 minutes, while others might take several months.

The challenge is that a single hire has a limited skill set; no one is an expert at everything. For instance, exceptional developers are rarely also outstanding designers.

With Kolm, you gain access to a team of expert designers and developers with various specialties. We handle all your requests, working on them one after the other, while your project manager oversees the process. If we need to work on multiple requests or projects simultaneously, you can add two requests at a time to your account. This flexibility allows you to scale your design and development operations up or down each month based on your current workload. Just contact our sales team if you need a tailored subscription.

You pay a monthly flat rate with no hidden fees or long-term contracts. We do not offer project-based or per-task pricing. Instead, our subscription model allows you to conveniently pause your subscription and reactivate it whenever you require additional requests to be fulfilled.

Are hosting and software expenses, such as Elementor, Webflow, Shopify, or third-party plugins, covered in the fees?

We do not cover hosting or software costs; our services focus solely on providing expertise and manpower.

What if I don't like the design?

No worries! We'll continue to revise the design until you're 100% satisfied. 

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

We are committed to delivering an great experience with our website and design services. However, if for any reason you're dissatisfied with the website or design style, we'll strive to pair you with an expert who aligns with your vision.

Like with an in-house hire, it's uncommon to request a refund for the first month's salary due to a mismatch. Therefore, we don't provide a money-back guarantee, but we're dedicated to finding a solution that works for you.


Where can I pay for the subscription?

To subscribe, visit our service or pricing page on the website. Select your preferred subscription plan or website package and proceed with payment by providing your information. Upon completing the payment, you will receive a confirmation email. Within 24 hours, you'll receive login credentials to your account and detailed onboarding instructions via email, allowing you to start using our service immediately.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

iDEAL: A secure and widely used payment method allowing you to pay directly through your bank.

Credit Cards: We accept major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, for your convenience.

Bitcoin: For those who prefer using cryptocurrencies, we also accept Bitcoin as a payment method. Please contact us before proceeding with a cryptocurrency transaction by filling in the form here. Indicate that you would like to pay through cryptocurrency.

Will my credit card be charged automatically every month?

Yes, as long as you remain an active customer, your payment will be automatically charged to your credit or debit card each month. You will receive a reminder email three days prior to each new payment. If you wish to discontinue or pause your subscription, you can do so in your Kolm account. Please ensure this is completed at least 24 hours before your next renewal to avoid being charged for the upcoming billing period.

Style of work

Do you work on weekends?

No, our team operates from Monday to Friday. 

Do you work in my timezone?

Our talents are primarily based in the Netherlands, Italy and Eastern Europe, operating within their local business hours. Our project managers also work during European business hours (CET). To determine the time difference, you can use a tool like 24TimeZones.

How many hours does the designer/developer work for me per month?

We do not specify working hours on our website because they are not a reliable measure of potential output. At Kolm, we prioritize outcomes over hours worked. Our approach involves providing daily updates on requests, involving a team of designers, developers and project managers.

Depending on the complexity of the design project, we can deliver assets the same day or within 1-3 days. If project demands increase, we can allocate additional hours to ensure timely delivery and adjust hours after project completion. Our efficiency often exceeds that of in-house teams, resulting in minimal complaints about turnaround times.

Do I get a dedicated designer or developer for all my projects?

You will have a dedicated project manager who understands your business and specific needs. Depending on the project, you may also have direct contact with the designer or developer. Designers and developers may change as we utilize specialists from our talent community to best match your project requirements. We ensure continuity by replacing talents as needed due to sickness or other issues. Typically, the same team members will work on your account unless you request a change.

How involved is the designer or developer?

You will have a dedicated project manager who understands your business and specific needs. Depending on the project, you may also have direct contact with the designer or developer. Designers and developers may change as we utilize specialists from our talent community to best match your project requirements. We ensure continuity by replacing talents as needed due to sickness or other issues. Typically, the same team members will work on your account unless you request a change.

Do you develop websites on your hosting plan or mine?

Everything we create is 100% owned by you or your company. We always build websites on your hosting plan. Additionally, we can set up your hosting and domain to ensure everything is seamlessly integrated.

Pause or cancel

How does the pause feature work?

We understand you may not have enough design work to fill up entire month. Perhaps you only have one or two design requests at the moment. That's where pausing your subscription comes in handy.

Billing cycles are based on 30 day period. Let's say you sign up and use the service for 21 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you'll have 10 days of service remaining to be used anytime in the future. Please note that you can use the pause feature once per billing cycle.


How can I pause my subscription?

To pause your subscription, access the “Cancel or Pause your Subscription” link from your Dashboard in your Kolm Services account. Go to Subscriptions and click on Pause. Alternatively, you can fill out the form at least 48 hours before your next renewal, and we will ensure you are not charged for the upcoming billing period.

Note: You will receive a reminder email three days before your next payment.

How can I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, simply access the “Cancel or Pause your Subscription” link under Subscriptions in your Kolm Account Dashboard. Additionally, you can fill out the cancellation form. Please ensure you cancel at least 48 hours before your next renewal to avoid being charged for the upcoming month.

If you decide to cancel your subscription, we will retain your Kolm portal for 6 months before deletion. With the pause function, your Kolm portal account will remain active. You will receive a reminder email every month.

What’s the difference between Pause and Cancel?

At Kolm, we provide you with the flexibility to Pause or Cancel your subscription, tailored to your requirements. It's crucial to understand the difference between these options to make an informed decision.

Pause Subscription

Intent to Return: Selecting to Pause your subscription indicates your intention to return and continue collaborating with us in the future.

Kolm Portal on Standby: We will place your Kolm Portal and ongoing projects on standby, temporarily pausing active work on them during this period.

Reactivation: Upon readiness to resume our services, we will reactivate your Kolm Portal, seamlessly continuing from where we left off. You can resume work with your existing project manager, team, and infrastructure.

Cancel Subscription

Permanent Termination: Opting to cancel your subscription signifies the termination of our services, indicating you no longer wish to continue the partnership.

Download Period: Upon cancellation, we provide a grace period for you to download all project-related files, assets, and deliverables, ensuring access to our completed work.

Kolm Portal Deletion: After the download period, your Kolm Portal, Trello Board, GDrive, project management, and team structure will be deleted.

Fresh Start: If you choose to resubscribe in the future, please be aware that you'll start fresh. This involves receiving a new Kolm Portal account, a fresh Trello board, a new GDrive folder, and being assigned a new project manager and team for your projects.

It's essential to carefully contemplate your decision between Pausing and Canceling, as it will influence how we handle your ongoing and future projects. Whether you opt for a break or conclude our services, we are committed to supporting you in selecting the option that aligns best with your needs.


Can I utilize the service for my agency clients?

Certainly. Many of our clients are agencies that leverage our services as an extension of their team and outsourcing partner for all their client projects.

Do you communicate directly with my agency clients?

We exclusively communicate with you, ensuring your agency clients are unaware of our involvement in their website and design projects.

Do you offer a white-label service?

Yes, we can handle all your client projects in the background as your external team. However, we do not communicate with your clients directly, and you cannot invite your clients to your Trello board. Additionally, we do not participate in client calls.


Do you have a referral program?

Yes, we do! Do you know someone who could benefit from our services? Refer them to Kolm and you’ll receive a 10% commission on the net sale.
